Mevagissey |
|
Mevagissey is the
largest working fishing village in St Austell Bay. The village has a
myriad of narrow streets meandering around the village and up onto
the cliffs.

The tiny houses, art
galleries, cafes, shops and pubs could have come straight out of
a fairy tale. A visit to the Folk Museum is a must as is a visit
to the Aquarium

Walking up through the narrow streets you can see the harbour
and further on a magnificent view out to sea. Once up onto the
cliffs you will be enchanted by the wild flowers and birds which
abound along the way. |

Mevagissey like many
Cornish towns has a festival week, Mevagissey Feast Week. A time
not to be missed, when real village life takes over with dancing
and merrymaking going on until late into the evening. Truly a
family atmosphere. |
