Pentewan |
|
Pentewan lies in the
centre of Cornwall's south coast, in an area of outstanding
natural beauty. The popular but unspoilt Roseland Peninsular begins
here. The
coastline is made up of cliffs and rolling green countryside
extending to the
sea where there is a large, safe sandy beach - ideal for families,
bathing,
fishing and water sports. The local area has several good unspoilt
beaches plus
the surfing areas of Newquay and the north coast are only 30-40
minutes away.

There are many lovely walks -
woodland, riverside and coastal paths There is beautiful scenery
around the coast and the rivers Fowey, Fal and Helford - many
places having been made famous by Daphne de Maurier, and more
recently Wycliffe (Gerran Churchtown) and the Camomile Lawn TV
series. The are many National Trust
properties and gardens in the area as well as the famous 'Lost
Gardens of Heligan' which are less than 2 miles away. The Eden
Project, 7 miles in the opposite direction and is a must for any
visitor to Cornwall
